INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 15, 2023) – What do Democrat Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and the Indiana Democrat Party have in common? They both adhere to an uncompromising far-left ideology
It should come as no surprise, then, that since Governor Walz assumed office, Minnesota has seen residents flee the state at a quickening pace, losing 19,400 Minnesotans to other states last year, the highest number in at least three decades.
Of course, Minnesota is not alone.
It joins other Democrat-controlled states like California and New York, and Democrat-controlled cities like Indianapolis, experiencing the consequences of their far-left policies, as residents continue a mass exodus and become the newest “leftugees.”
Hoping to one day emulate this disastrous record, Indiana Democrats are welcoming this far-left Democrat governor to Indianapolis tomorrow and fully embracing "Minnesota Nuts.”
What does that mean? Well, in part, supporting:
-
The release of more prisoners sooner, the erasure of select aiding and abetting felony convictions, organizations that fund bail for violent, repeat criminals, the legalization of drug paraphernalia, even those with drug residue, and Minnesota’s continuing public safety crisis (violent crime has spiked 43 percent since Governor Walz took office).
-
An income tax rate of 9.85 percent — the sixth highest in the country, a new $10 billion tax increase — the largest in the state's history, and taxing Social Security benefits — one of only 11 states in the country to do so.
-
The elimination of nearly all limitations on abortion at any stage in pregnancy, including removing protections for infants born alive after an abortion, defunding abortion alternative programs, repealing informed consent laws, and eliminating references to "pregnant woman" and replacing them with "individual."
"From what we can tell just a few states over, Democrat Tim Walz wants to be the most far-left governor in the country," stated Luke Thomas, press secretary at the Indiana Republican Party. "The Indiana Democrat Party's embrace of him has made it clear that while they pretend to be different than extreme Democrats in places like Minnesota, California, and Washington, D.C., they're actually just one and the same. It's no wonder Hoosiers continue to reject them."
